MSNM Admissions

New cohorts are formed throughout the academic year. Those interested in joining the MSNM Program must submit application materials no later than three weeks in advance of their desired start date.

Application Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • A commitment to the nonprofit field

An admissions interview may also be required

Application materials should be submitted three weeks prior to the start of the cohort.

Admissions Essay

All applicants to the MSNM Program must demonstrate strong written skills. As part of the admissions application, students submit a short, autobiographical essay. This essay should be 500 words (approximately 2-3 pages in length), word-processed and double-spaced. Applicants should include a header in the top right hand corner of the essay that includes (1) their full name, (2) name of program, and (3) date of cohort to which they are applying.

The Admissions Committee will review both the application and essay. Applicants should include the following information in the admissions essay:

  • Educational background
  • Work experience
  • Personal and professional accomplishments
  • Reasons for applying to the program
  • Personal and professional goals in completing the program

Acceptance to the MSNM Program

Upon acceptance to the MSNM Program, the applicant will receive an official letter stating acceptance, or outlining any special conditions of acceptance, the date their cohort will begin, and the date the cohort’s orientation session.
