Marvin Cutler

Marv Cutler

Marvin Cutler has been Director of Finance and Administration for Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies for over ten years and also serves as an Adjunct Professor. His prior position was as Vice-President of Finance for the Society for Visual Education.

Mr. Cutler has lectured at Continuing Education sessions for both the Illinois CPA Society and Illinois CPAs for the Public Interest, been a guest lecturer in a Graduate Certificate Program for North Park College, and most recently lectured at the Dollinger Non-Profit Conference held at DePaul University. His technical publications include several articles in Insight, the Journal of the Illinois CPA Society; in Nonprofit Perspectives, the client newsletter of Grant Thornton, a national CPA firm; in Non-Profit Times, a national non-profit publication; in Employee Management, the Journal of NESRA, and as one of the co-authors of a booklet: Simple Cash Management for Non-Profit Organizations, published jointly by I llinois CPAs for the Public Interest and Shore Bank.

Mr. Cutler has been a Certified Public Accountant for thirty years. He earned an MBA in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago and did further post-graduate work in Accounting there. He did his undergraduate work in Accounting at De Paul University and completed a BA degree at Rockford College. An Air Force veteran, Mr. Cutler served in a medical squadron during the Vietnam War.
