Maggie Anton is an award-winning and bestselling author of historical fiction. A native of Los Angeles, she was raised in a secular household with little knowledge of her Jewish religion. Her interest peaked as an adult, and she now has studied Talmud and Biblical women’s history for more than twenty years. Intrigued that the great Talmudic scholar Rashi had no sons, only daughters, Anton researched his family and decided to write novels about them. Thus the acclaimed Rashi's Daughters trilogy was born. Anton has lectured through North America and Israel about the history behind her novels. Her new novel, Enchantress: A Novel of Rav Hisda’s Daughter, has just come out in paperback.
