Call For Entries

Do you have a story to share? We want to hear it!

Are you a fan of Moth Radio Hour or The Interview Show or This American Life? Here's your opportunity to tell your own story!

On May 21, live on stage in Skokie, IL, our community will come together to hear original stories of personal experiences from and of Israel.

The program is titled:

Israel: Many Voices
Stories from and of the Land

It is presented by a group of more than 30 Chicago-area Jewish organizations, spearheaded by Spertus Institute, with funding from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.

GUIDELINES

Selected stories will be performed live, not read, without AV assistance. Stories must be 5 to 7 minutes in length.

The event will be held on Sunday, May 21 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago — Northshore Conference Center at 9599 Skokie Blvd. Selected performers must be available on that day to tell their stories.

Selected performers must also participate in two workshop/rehearsal events — Monday, May 8 and Monday, May 15. Times and meeting locations will be determined after storytellers have been selected.

A written application and an audio sample must be submitted by February 28 to be considered. See the application form for details.

Application

We look forward to hearing your story!

We invite you to forward this Call for Entries to everyone you know who has good stories, tells good stories, and/or has an Israel experience you think should be heard. No experience necessary.
