Roberto Castaneda has worked in senior finance positions for Fortune 500 companies including McDonald’s Corporation, PepsiCo, and American Express. He currently works as a financial and strategic corporate consultant. He has a passionate interest in helping nonprofit organizations grow financially, and he serves as president of the Illinois Literacy Foundation, as treasurer for Friends of the Orphans, on the board of the Center for Economic Progress, and as a grants panelist for the Chicago Cultural Center. Dr. Castaneda spent over ten years as a founding board member of the National Museum of Mexican Art (formerly the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum). He has lived and worked in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
In addition to teaching at Spertus, Dr. Castaneda is an adjunct professor for Walden University, which offers an online degree program for international students. He deals with Latin American students in the program, and has been doing so since 2006
