Tim O’Brien
Tim O’Brien serves as an adjunct professor of nonprofit finance at North Park University’s School of Business and Nonprofit Managemen and works at the Harbor Light Center of the Salvation Army as director of operations.
Previous to his current positions, he served in a variety of roles in financial management in commercial, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations including Swatch Watch USA, the Northern California Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, YMCA of the USA, and the Passionist Congregation. He also served as primary investigator in a study of the financial health of Chicago-based human service organizations. He serves as a warden of his church and is one of the co-founders of an organization called The Episcopal Veteran’s Fellowship. He serves as board member and treasurer of Passionists International (UN NGO) and as chair for the investment advisory committee for the Passionist Congregation, Holy Cross Province. He has published numerous articles in the areas of financial management and organizational development and is an international workshop leader in the field of management.
