Victor A. Mirelman, a native of Argentina, has taught Jewish history at Spertus for many years. Previously, Dr. Mirelman taught at The Hebrew University, Columbia University, and The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is a leading expert in the history of the Jews in Latin America and published a definitive history of the Jews of Argentina.

Dr. Mirelman is rabbi emeritus of West Suburban Temple Har Zion in River Forest, which he has served since 1990.
