Cathleen Falsani on The God Factor
Spirituality and religion play a key role in today’s United States. But faith is more complex than snapshots convey. To explore this complexity, writer Cathleen Falsani interviewed an array of people of note—including many prominent Jews — who shape our culture and our collective consciousness. The resulting interviews are fresh, illuminating and occasionally controversial. Falsani joined us at Spertus to discuss her findings and her experiences in the course of writing The God Factor.
Cathleen Falsani is an award-winning religion columnist. The former religion writer for the Chicago Sun-Times, she covers the "God beat" from locations as varied as Vatican City, the Caribbean, the West Wing, the Playboy Mansion, and the dugout at Wrigley Field. She writes on spirituality and popular culture, and her work has appeared in publications ranging from Rolling Stone to Christianity Today.
The God Factor was her first book.
