How Great Leaders Create Great Places to Work

How Great Leaders Create Great Places to Work

Sunday, November 1, 2015 (All day)

Attaining lasting happiness requires that we enjoy the journey on the way toward a destination we deem valuable. — Dr. Tal Ben-Sharar

On Sunday, November 1, Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership presented Tal Ben-Shahar, bestselling author of Choose the Life You Want, to share his expertise on How Great Leaders Create Great Places to Work.

Paying It Forward

Over the course of the afternoon, Dr. Ben-Shahar cited groundbreaking research on improving satisfaction and performance, both in and out of the workplace. He generously offered to share the slides that accompanied his presentation, so we have can "pay it forward" by using them in our own workplaces.

It is not accidental that the Hebrew word for work — avodah — is the same word we use for divine service. In other words, in Judaism, the very process of creating great places to work is, in fact, an act of godliness. — Spertus President and CEO Dr. Hal M. Lewis
