Cook Up a Sweet New Year

Honeycrisp, Winesap, Empire — Would an apple by any other name taste as sweet? Chef Laura Frankel guided guests through a smorgasbord of locally grown apples and then demonstrated delightful and delicious gourmet dishes perfect for a Jewish New Year’s celebration.

Following the program, Chef Laura will signed copies of her cookbooks, Jewish Cooking for All Seasons and Jewish Slow Cooker Recipes, available for purchase from the Spertus Shop.

Chef Laura Frankel is Executive Chef for Spertus Kosher Catering and the author of the Chosen Bites column in the Jerusalem Post. She is a passionate teacher who has made it her mission to reimagine and revitalize the diverse and delicious traditions of Jewish cooking.
