Christopher Hitchens is a columnist for Vanity Fair and a prodigious author. His books include the recent bestseller God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything and the just released Thomas Paine's Rights of Man. A regular contributor to The Atlantic Monthly, Slate, The Weekly Standard, and The Independent, he has been Washington editor of Harper’s and Newsday’s book critic and regularly appears on shows ranging from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to C-Span’s Washington Journal. He was named one of the world’s “Top 100 Public Intellectuals” by Foreign Policy and Britain’s Prospect.
