Unterman Family Collection, Spertus
Fagel (nee Riback) Unterman (1919-2009) lived in Chicago and was active in many local Jewish organizations. Unterman's parents were among Chicago's founding Labor Zionists and she grew up attending Labor Zionists folkshuln. She worked at the Jewish People's Institute (JPI) and was known for her memory. Unterman donated many items to the Jewish People's Institute Archival Collection at Spertus as well as a small collection of her family. Her oral history was recorded at Spertus. Fagel Unterman was married to Abe Unterman, had two children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
