Every year, Spertus Institute hosts a gathering for the professionals and volunteers who serve Jewish Chicago. The evening offers an opportunity to network with colleagues from other organizations, celebrate successes, and learn new ways to advance careers in the Jewish communal world.

This year participants enjoyed an opportunity to hear from Caren Yanis, President of Crown Family Philanthropies, and Gali Cooks, Executive Director of Leading Edge, an alliance focused on building excellence in Jewish leadership.

How do we shape Jewish organizations
into great places to work?

Caren and Gali built a case for why every Jewish organization should be a great place to work, by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.

This event was planned under the auspices of Spertus Institute’s Center for Jewish Leadership. Rooted in the belief that great Jewish communities need great leaders, the mission of the Center for Jewish Leadership is to transform Jewish life by cultivating innovative approaches to leadership and enhancing the abilities of Jewish communal professionals and volunteers.
